A Short About

Greetings!

We are a group of four guys intent on showing the competitive nature of the pokemon games, especially through the fifth generation (Pokemon Black and White). We played during the end of generation four every weekend for three months, using a round robin-style tournament to decide the champion and loser. The loser had to buy the beer for the following week, and this format will continue into this generation.

However, this generation we will also be contributing to this blog, offering movesets, team advice, and hopefully commentating on our (and other's) games, which will be uploaded to Youtube.

We have not yet established our complete ruleset for this generation (last generation we played in Smogon's OU tier with standard rules, but we may vary now), but we do have some. To start, we will be playing with undoubtedly legendary (those at the top of the uber tier) pokemon barred from regular competitive play (though we will have weeks with special rules, soemtimes allowing them). These should be listed in a future post. Our other rule is you may not transfer pokemon from generation four to generation five until you have at least four level 100 pokemon in Black or White. This prevents us from blitzing through the elite four and transferring, only to play a few weeks with what are essentially fourth gen sets and teams.
